What to Expect

Expert Coaching

Olympic Gold Medalist Jackie Dubrovich will lead the camp the same way she trained to achieve Team USA’s historic victory at the 2024 Paris Games. No “I’ve-seen-this-before” content: get ready to train the same way a gold medalist prepares for the most important fencing tournament on the planet. Book an individual lesson before or after camp for a game-changing session.

Greg Domashovetz, an FIE-licensed foil referee and Head Coach at the local Roaring Fork Fencers Club, will enhance the camp with the cutting edge of foil refereeing and over a decade of coaching experience.

The Best Mountain Destination in the World

Rihanna, the Kardashians, Kurt Russel, and Shaun White all live in Aspen or are frequent visitors. They know that the town offers unparalleled shopping, dining, and accommodation.

Meanwhile, the four mountains of Aspen Snowmass are any skier or snowboarder’s dream come true: terrain for any ability, jaw-dropping views, and snow (and grooming!) that will have everyone asking for “just one more lap!”

Training and Community

Aspen Fencing Camp is about melding a productive training environment and a space to connect with fencing peers. Attendees will be working in age- and skill-appropriate groups to maximize productivity while maintaining the flexibility to allow for organic mentorship.

Meanwhile, optional social events offer time to unwind and enjoy all the unique amenities of Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley with fellow campers. Rubbing elbows with an Olympian is just one nice added bonus.

Fencer Requirements

Age 7 or older*
Must have at least intermediate level foil skills
- Competitive experience is a plus
Must provide own equipment

*Fencers will be split by age and skill when appropriate. Coaches’ initiative will guide flexible groupings.

Payment Information

First 15 registrations before 11/15/24 pay a 25% deposit
- After 15 full price registrations, all fees must be paid in full at time of enrollment and remainder of deposits remitted
- If we have not reached our target numbers by 11/15/24, we will either issue refunds or modify the camp for a smaller group
Refunds may be requested within 48 hours, after 48 hours no refunds issued
All refunds will have a 5% fee
Registrations after 1/25/24 subject to $100 late fee

Grant Program

Aspen Fencing Camp is dedicated to expanding access to top-tier training opportunities to all fencers. At least five grants will be allotted via an application process. Grants may be awarded immediately or in waves on October 1, October 15, and November 1. Additional grants may be issued at the discretion of Aspen Fencing Camp.

Aspen Fencing Camp is hosted by Roaring Fork Fencers Club. Established in 2017, RFFC’s mission statement is to “Inspire and sustain passionate fencers by having fun, making connections, and growing skill.”

Roaring Fork Fencers Club was founded by Head Coach Greg Domashovetz, an FIE-licensed foil referee, outdoor enthusiast, and lifetime fencer.

Roaring Fork Fencers Club members have earned national points in youth events in addition to strong showings in Region 4 rankings. RFFC members excel in support of each other as a team, as friends, and as a community of fencers devoted to exploring the upper bounds of excellence.
